Our Night out after the Summer Sales Blitz.

Well the office had went for a bit of an after summer evening out on the Wednesday in mid September but as The Museum restaurant in Talybont was closed, a new venue was decided upon, only trouble was we couldn’t take our own booze, so no clanking carrier bags!! The Hen Feudy in Llanbedr was the chosen establishment.

The welcome we received was quite unique, but I will not dwell on that. The food was good and the wines and beers went down well. Funny when you think, “Oh I didn’t drink much” you forget the ones in the pub before the restaurant!! Why is it those never count?!!

A night of great merry making and jokes was had and Andy celebrated the completion of his final exams taken in Manchester earlier in the day. These were necessary to pass the CPEA qualification………has he passed or failed? With the the results coming out in 6 weeks time this should be another excuse for celebration. Whist walking back from the exam hall to the car park, the highlight of the day was seeing a lap dancer outside a club  (not inside, honestly that really is the truth).

One of the surprises of the evening was Simon walking home in the rain 2 miles or so. And to think he said he hadn’t drunk much, yeah, and estate agents tell the truth!!!

The following Friday night 15th September was one to celebrate the end of the week. Ffestyn who is going to school next week, sorry College, decided he should imbibe a tad. I can’t say too much because he can’t remember the happenings. Rumour has it he went to the Victoria Hotel in Llanbedr first then took the train to Barmouth and ended up in the Sand Dancer or so he believes. Now Saturday night shows the youth of today do not just drink to excess, Ffestyn this time had made something to eat, somehow I can’t see the “Naked Chef” enlightening us as to how to make Vodka Jelly - please see later.

Simon had a few days off so what did he do? Watched the Women’s Home International Golf at the Royal St David’s Harlech, but only a few games. Saturday had a friendly game and Sunday well even though it was windy and raining, practice was called for. This winter I want to do the winter league and get the game into shape. Now why is it I am told to get a life or that I will never settle down!!!?

Now our friend Alison, nay Mrs Sanderson, is on business in Italy for a week. She also works for a travel firm organising prestige Garden Tours. The rumour is she is just is checking on the European wine lake, is there still such a thing? With Jane also on holiday and Simon, Ffestyn and Andy left in the office for 7 whole days the testosterone in the office could become overpowering!
